Work to improve the Community Center parking lot will begin soon, with contractor All-American Concrete expected to start work as early as May 29, 2026, while the outdoor pool is still closed and schools are still open.
The project, which was discussed during March’s online Project Open House series, will improve the connection to the North Ridge Trail, add sidewalks and traffic-calming speed tables for pedestrian safety, replace and resurface the west side of the lot and its entrances.
The project will be phase so one entrance to the lot, either from Cherry Street or Community Drive, will be open at all times. During one phase, the Library’s exterior entrance on the building’s west side will be closed. The work will begin on the east side of the building next to the pool.
