AUSTIN (KXAN) – An Austin man previously accused of stealing dozens of packages from mailboxes across Travis County has been convicted in one of the charges tied to the case, according to court records.
Anthony Zarate, 28, was found guilty of unlawful use of a criminal instrument in a Travis County district court.
Court documents show Zarate pleaded guilty to the charge, a state jail felony offense, with sentencing imposed May 21. He was sentenced to 160 days in county jail, with credit for time already served.
