Second Lubbock man pleads guilty to federal bank robbery charge

LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock man Tawain Tamesh Spence, also known as “Blacc,” pled guilty on Thursday, May 21, to a federal charge of Aggravated Bank Robbery.

According to a factual resume obtained by EverythingLubbock.com, on September 30, 2025, at approximately 12:06 p.m., the Lubbock Police Department responded to a report of an armed bank robbery at Happy State Bank in the 4400 block of 19th Street.

Court documents stated that LPD detectives and a special agent with the FBI investigated the robbery, identifying Otis Roy Williams as a potential suspect. Williams was taken into custody at a hotel in Lubbock, while investigators subsequently learned that Tawain Tamesh Spence aided and abetted Williams in the planning and execution of the robbery.
