LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A new data center is now open in Central Lubbock. The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on the facilities near 19th and Avenue Q this morning.
The two Duos Edge AI facilities are million dollar “edge” facilities – which means they are small, decentralized computing centers.
“They’re built to be exactly the same. The security, the infrastructure, it’s all built to be the same as a large data center,” Bill Radford, Duos Edge AI’s Vice President of Technology, said. “From a footprint perspective, it’s designed to be as non-impactful to the community as possible.”…
