BELVIDERE — The Belvidere Park District cut the ribbon on Thursday on a new playground envisioned as a vibrant entry point to the community from the west.
The Jean Twyning Nature Playground at Glenn H. Green Open Space, 8484 Distillery Road, is the latest step in transforming the park after the unveiling of Gary Simon’s silo murals in August 2025.
