Usha Vance, visibly pregnant and radiant, was spotted stepping off Air Force Two this week with a warm smile and her brown backpack in hand. The second lady, 40, donned a blue jumper featuring the American flag and the letters “USA” as she arrived at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland alongside Vice President JD Vance on May 28.

The couple had traveled to Colorado to attend the 2026 graduation ceremony at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Just a day earlier, Usha proudly displayed her baby bump while stepping off the plane in a flowing maternity dress.

Currently eight months pregnant, Usha carefully descended the aircraft stairs, steadying herself with one hand on the railing. She and the Vice President, married since 2014, are preparing to welcome their fourth child-a boy-later this summer. The couple announced the pregnancy in January, sharing their excitement over expanding their family, which already includes three children: Ewan, 8, Vivek, 6, and Mirabel, 4.

Earlier this week, JD Vance appeared on NBC News, sharing insights into how Usha played an integral role in the creation of his upcoming book, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith. He described her as direct and unafraid to offer honest feedback, noting her contributions in shaping the book’s structure and trimming unnecessary content.

The memoir delves into Vance’s spiritual journey-from Protestant upbringing, through atheism, to his eventual conversion to Catholicism-highlighting Usha’s unwavering support despite her Hindu faith. “I don’t think I would be a Christian today were it not for my wife,” he acknowledged.

Communion is scheduled for release by HarperCollins on June 16 and serves as a follow-up to Vance’s 2016 bestseller, Hillbilly Elegy.

Amid their public appearances, the couple faced speculation about their relationship last year when Usha was seen without her wedding ring. However, a spokesperson dismissed rumors of separation, attributing the missing ring to the busy demands of motherhood, including chores and caring for their three young children.

As Usha and JD Vance continue their public roles and family life, they appear united and focused on welcoming their newest addition this summer.
