PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Lane closures will be in effect on a stretch of US-131 north of Grand Rapids while crews work to fix a pothole.
The pothole — technically called a spall because it’s on a bridge deck — formed Wednesday afternoon on the northbound lanes of the highway over West River Drive in Plainfield Township, the Michigan Department of Transportation said.
The lane leading up to the West River Drive exit ramp was closed Thursday, though MDOT said the ramp itself remained open. Starting Monday and lasting through mid-June, two lanes will be closed so crews can fix the bridge deck…
