It’s been an eventful week for Tom Izzo’s Michigan State basketball program. He had been awaiting the NBA draft decision of Jeremy Fears Jr. and got the news he wanted just before the deadline. Right before that, he learned of Anton Bonke’s withdrawal from the draft.
Unfortunately, he got some bad news on Friday as he missed out on a five-star point guard target who happens to be teammates of two 2026 Spartan signees.
Five-star point guard Davion Thompson, who the Spartans had been in contact with for about a year, cut his list down to four programs. Michigan State did not make the cut…
