When he got the email he had been selected he thought it couldn’t be real, but it was.
Now the San Marcos man is part of a team of artists designing coins for the U.S. Mint including specialty coins for the country’s 250th birthday. Polentz says the back and forth to create the artwork has been a joy and he still can’t believe it…
