A preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled in the murder case of Ashlee Lynn Buzzard, the Vandenberg Village woman accused of killing her 9-year-old daughter during a multiday road trip last year — but a court date to set that hearing is now on the calendar.
Buzzard, 40, appeared Wednesday afternoon in Santa Barbara County Superior Court’s Lompoc Division before Judge Stephen Dunkle, arriving handcuffed and escorted into the courtroom by officers.
In a matter of minutes, attorneys confirmed scheduling matters in the case and the court agreed to continue the matter to June 22 at 8:30 a.m. in Santa Maria, Department 7, where a preliminary hearing date is expected to be calendared and where Dunkle will continue presiding…
