ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – CareSTL Health announced a temporary closure and staff furlough on Friday.
A statement posted to its website, carestlhealth.org, said the decision to close and furlough staff was made “due to ongoing financial challenges and insufficient federal drawdown funding to meet payroll obligations.” It will be effective on Monday.
The statement continues, “The decision follows continued delays in the release of local, state and federal funds that are essential to sustaining operations and fulfilling payroll commitments. While the organization has pursued every available avenue to secure immediate financial relief, the timing and magnitude of the funding shortfall require temporary workforce measures to ensure long-term organizational stability.”…
