Northern Colorado targets end of 2027 for commercial flights; starting runway widening project

LOVELAND, Colo. — A major construction project at Northern Colorado Regional Airport is about to begin and it could help bring commercial passenger flights back to the region by late 2027 or early 2028, airport officials say.

The airport, located northeast of Loveland near Interstate 25, is beginning a five-month runway widening project Monday as part of a broader effort to expand operations and meet federal standards.
