- Everything we know about Pete Hegseth’s wife as she’s slammed for ‘tone deaf’ T-shirt (themirror.com)
Jennifer Rauchet, wife of Pete Hegseth, has recently come under scrutiny following her appearance wearing a “This is War” T-shirt during a visit to U.S. service members aboard the USS Boxer. The shirt sparked online criticism and raised questions about her involvement alongside Hegseth, who serves in a government role related to defense.
Hegseth and Rauchet’s relationship dates back to their time working at Fox News. They met while both were married to other partners-Hegseth to his second wife, Samantha Deering, with whom he has three sons, and Rauchet also married with three children from previous relationships.
The couple’s relationship became public in 2017 after they welcomed a daughter, Gwendolyn. Shortly thereafter, Deering filed for divorce.
Since then, Hegseth and Rauchet have blended their family to include seven children and often share moments from their personal lives on social media.
Rauchet previously worked as a producer at Fox News, notably on Fox & Friends, where Hegseth became a co-host in 2017. After their relationship became public, she transitioned to producing Watters’ World. Hegseth remained with Fox until 2024, when he moved into his current government role.
The couple married in August 2019 at Trump National Golf Club in Colts Neck, New Jersey, with notable attendees including President Donald Trump and Fox News personality Sean Hannity.
Rauchet has publicly supported Hegseth during controversies, including a 2024 revelation of a 2017 sexual assault allegation against him. Although he was never charged, Hegseth settled the matter confidentially in 2020. At the time, Rauchet defended him strongly on social media, emphasizing their shared values.
More recently, questions have arisen regarding Rauchet’s presence in sensitive government contexts. While she holds no official position, reports indicate she has accompanied Hegseth to meetings with foreign military officials and was included in communications discussing U.S. military operations, such as a missile strike in Yemen.
The couple continues to maintain a visible public profile, attending events such as the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April 2026 amid ongoing public interest in their personal and professional lives.
