Gov. Mike DeWine’s suspension of the sales tax exemption for data center development Wednesday was a major policy mistake that should be reversed as soon as possible.
The governor announced the moratorium following the first meeting of the newly created Joint Data Center Committee, which is the combination of Ohio House and Senate members responding to the public uproar about data centers.
