FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) – Recent rain is bringing relief to Baldwin County produce farmers and their crops, but how much rain is too much rain?
Mike McKenzie has spent years working on his family’s farm in Fairhope, where just a few weeks ago, they were hoping for some rain.

“The ground was hard, it was dusty, our crops were starting to suffer,” McKenzie said.
But after days of heavy showers across the region this week, many local farmers are hoping for a few dry days ahead.
“We need some sunshine. It started raining and it didn’t quit,” McKenzie said.
In the past few days, parts of Baldwin County have picked up around four to eight inches of rain. But McKenzie explained his farm is determined not to let Mother Nature slow them down…
