Man guilty of threatening Norfolk-based collection agency over his debt

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Texas man pleaded guilty to sending threatening messages to a Norfolk-based collection agency over a debt he owed.

Court documents reveal that a Norfolk-based collection agency sent Taylor Bullard, 35, a message about an outstanding debt. In response, Bullard sent a signed message threatening to appear at one of the company’s locations with a machete and gasoline, stating his intent to “do things that are unforgivable” and “make your executive team question their life choices.”

Bullard is scheduled for sentencing on Sept. 2. He faces a maximum of five years in prison. A federal district court judge will determine the final sentence, considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other legal factors…
