LITTLE ROCK, AR (KATV) — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has signed an executive order that will authorize $439,613.26 to be pulled from the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund and assist communities impacted by severe storms and flooding on January 22, 2024.
Intense weather conditions, coupled with lingering damaged in the storm’s wake prompted a call for more assistance in areas that were impacted.
“NOW THEREFORE, I, SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS, acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas, and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby amend DR 24-02 (dated May 6, 2024) to authorize funding in the amount of $439,613.26 to be obligated from the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund under the Public Assistance Program. Such funds will be used at the discretion of the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to defray both program and administrative costs.”…
