WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Dog attacks are becoming a growing concern for postal workers, with 65 dog bites reported in Kansas in 2025.
Wichita recorded the highest number of dog bites in the state, according to the U.S. Postal Service, with 13. Topeka ranks No. 2 with eight attacks, followed by Shawnee Mission and Kansas City, each with four dog bites.
According to the USPS, more than 5,200 postal workers were attacked by dogs nationwide in 2025. California was in first place, with over 670 reports.
