Treasure Valley leaders target unsafe high-powered bikes on the Greenbelt

BOISE, Idaho — Treasure Valley leaders are launching a regional effort to improve safety along the Boise River Greenbelt, citing growing concerns about high-powered electric motorcycles and other unauthorized vehicles using the popular pathway system.

Mayors from Boise, Garden City, Eagle and Middleton joined law enforcement Friday to announce a Greenbelt safety initiative that includes new signage, public education and reminders about proper trail etiquette.
