Charlotte man arrested for armed robbery, carjacking on day 16-year-old relative was killed: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested a man accused of committing a violent armed robbery and carjacking earlier this month.

According to CMPD, officers responded to the 6700 block of North Tryon Street around 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, after receiving reports of a robbery and vehicle theft.

CMPD said the incident happened on the same day detectives were investigating the murder of 16-year-old Joseph Samuel. Police said Daniel Snell, 18, who is a relative of Samuel, was present at the crime scene that day. Samuel’s case has since been cleared by arrest…
