A Final Farewell to Volunteer Firefighter Tyler Storicks

The sound of a single bagpipe echoed through the air as 20-year-old volunteer firefighter Tyler Storicks was brought into Our Lady of Mercy Church during a powerful funeral procession made up of volunteer fire departments from across the region.

Dozens of firefighters and first responders gathered to support the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department as they mourned the loss of one of their own. The procession included emergency personnel from neighboring communities, all coming together to honor Storicks’ life and service.

“We are here to support our brothers and sisters. They lost a loved one in their family, and so we are here to support them. Once a brother, always a brother,” said Nicholas Campbell of the Union City Fire Department.
