Former Badger Billy Edwards Jr. may have lost his main competition at UNC

Most Wisconsin Badger fans are under the impression that Billy Edwards Jr. went to North Carolina and Bill Belichick to be the primary signal caller. However, that wasn’t the case. Belichick brought in three transfer quarterbacks to duel it out for the spot. The best gets the gig, and the rest are backups. Edwards now has a much cleaner shot to the top as one of those quarterbacks, Taron Dickens from Western Carolina, has decommitted from the Tar Heels.

Now the two quarterbacks fighting for the job are Edwards and Miles O’Neill, a transfer from Texas A&M. It does still seem like it’s Edwards’ job to lose, especially after Dickens decided to change course. O’Neill may have a chance to pass Edwards, but he’s unproven in his time as an Aggie.
