BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Good morning and happy Sunday!
I want to give you a First Alert for the potential to see patchy dense fog this morning. Visibility could be a quarter of a mile or less in a few spots. Any fog that develops should dissipate by 9 a.m.
The good news is that we are relatively dry. Temperatures are in the lower 70s with very muggy conditions. We are forecasting scattered showers and storms to develop this afternoon and evening. Storms may start to develop in east Alabama and eventually impact areas along I-65 by this evening.
A strong storm can’t be ruled out with lightning and gusty winds. The main threat will be heavy rainfall and a low chance to see flooding. Just make sure you stay weather aware if you plan to attend the Barons Baseball game this afternoon or the Jelly Roll concert this evening. Delays can’t be ruled out…
