JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa — Authorities say one person was found dead after flames engulfed a home Saturday in eastern Iowa.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday, the Johnson County Joint Emergency Communications Center received several calls reporting a fire in the 3500 block of Johnson Cedar Road NE in West Branch.
Sheriff’s office deputies and area fire departments arrived on scene around 4:43 a.m., where they located a two-story single-family home that was fully engulfed in flames.
