Man charged in Greenfield Speedway shooting found incompetant to stand trial

GREENFIELD, Wis. — A man accused of shooting at a soda delivery driver at a Speedway in Greenfield was found incompetent to stand trial.

The case against Anthony Martinez is suspended, after a judge said he is likely to become competent with treatment. Martinez faces felony charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and endangering safety with reckless use of a firearm, after he allegedly fired shots at a Coca-Cola delivery driver on Feb. 5.

Investigators say it all began at one of the delivery driver’s stops that day on Howard Avenue, when he noticed a man follow him in an SUV to the gas station on 60th Street.
