UPDATE 2: New Tornado Warning Issued for Eastern McCook County and West Minnehaha County

UPDATE 2 (7:10 P.M.) — The National Weather Service has issued a new tornado warning for McCook County. The storm will drift northeast through Humboldt and Greenland. The storms are only moving at about 15 mph, meaning the storms are drenching areas they are passing over. Flash flooding, hail, high winds, and a potential tornado are all possible with the cell. The warning lasts until 7:45.

UPDATE (6:45 P.M.) — The National Weather Service Sioux Falls office has allowed the tornado warning in McCook County to expire.

There is still a large thunderstorm cell moving northeast towards Montrose and Salem. The Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 7:15 p.m. and comes with heavy rain, hail up to one inch in diameter, and wind gusts that could reach 60 mph…
