Guadalupe Woman Rushes To Fire Station With Gunshot Wound, Fights For Life

A quiet Sunday in Guadalupe turned dire when a woman showed up at the town’s fire station with a gunshot wound and was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities. Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the fire station and opened a criminal investigation into the shooting.

Deputies were called after the wounded woman arrived at the Guadalupe fire station, and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office told 12 News that she was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition. Officials have not released her identity, and at the time of the report they said they had no suspect information to share.

Guadalupe is a compact town in the East Valley section of Maricopa County, with a population of roughly 5,300 residents, according to the Arizona Commerce Authority. Wedged between Tempe and Phoenix, the town keeps its government footprint relatively small while serving a close-knit community.
