Vehicle fire spreads to garage units at Puyallup apartment complex

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Firefighters responded to an early morning vehicle fire at an apartment complex in Puyallup, after flames spread from a burning vehicle into nearby detached garage units.

Crews were dispatched around 2 a.m. Sunday to the 1700 block of East Main Avenue, where they arrived to find one vehicle fully engulfed in flames. A second vehicle had begun to ignite, and the fire had extended into adjacent garage units.

Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and worked to prevent it from spreading further…
