45,000-square-foot warehouse proposed on Old Polk City Road

A 45,000-square-foot warehouse could be built on an 11.29-acre site north of State Road 33 under a proposal headed to the Lakeland City Commission.

Plans submitted to the city identify the warehouse as the first proposed development for property along Old Polk City Road near CenterState Logistics Park.

The application does not name a future tenant or occupant, leaving unanswered whether the project is intended for a specific user or would add speculative industrial space to the market.

The site sits near existing warehouse and logistics development along the Interstate 4 and State Road 33 corridor. While smaller than many of the distribution facilities developed nearby, the project would add industrial space near one of Central Florida’s primary freight routes…
