Police: Convicted Felon Charged After Struggle With Police At Chicago Ridge Mall

A convicted felon has been charged following a confrontation with police at the Chicago Ridge Mall on Friday, according to police.

Mark A. Jackson, 38, of Alsip, was charged with one felony crime of aggravated unauthorized use of a firearm by a felon, two felony charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, five misdemeanor counts of resisting and obstructing a police officer, and one misdemeanor count of property damage.

Around 2:22 p.m., cops noticed Jackson wandering around the Chicago Ridge Mall with a bulge on his waistband. Two officers approached him inside a store and informed him that he could not carry a concealed firearm in the mall…
