Zaragoza Road construction snarls East El Paso traffic as safety project advances

ANTHONY, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) —Drivers in East El Paso are dealing with lane closures and slower traffic as the next phase of the Pebble Hills Regional Improvement Project gets underway.

The current phase covers Pebble Hills Boulevard between North Zaragoza Road and Rich Beem Boulevard in District 5. According to city officials, the work began during the last week of May and is expected to take about four months, with the larger project lasting about a year.
