LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A Lexington man was arrested early Sunday morning after police said he fired multiple gunshots near the University of Kentucky Good Samaritan Hospital.
Kenneth W. Henderson, 26, was arrested at 3:37 a.m. Sunday near S. Limestone St.
According to the arrest citation, University of Kentucky Police officers were conducting extra patrols of the UK Good Samaritan Hospital garden area at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday when they heard a gunshot and shouting coming from the intersection of S. Limestone and W. Maxwell streets.
A large gathering of people began to flee the area after the first gunshot, which was fired toward the officers, according to the citation. The officers heard additional gunshots as they moved toward the area where the original gunshot came from…
