Lincoln man arrested after toddler hospitalized with brain bleed, severe injuries

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln man is in jail after a toddler was hospitalized with severe body injuries and a brain bleed.

On Friday, Lincoln police officers arrested 30-year-old Devon Rejda on suspicion of child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury and first-degree assault.

The Lincoln Police Department said the investigation into an alleged ongoing child abuse and assault began on May 1, when the Bryan West emergency room contacted the department regarding the 23-month-old child in critical condition.
