The Town of Erie Police Department announced in the evening of May 27 that a missing teenager, Ethan Fisher, had been found safe. Fisher, 15, had not been seen since May 25 after reportedly making comments about “going to the mountains and attempting to live in the wild on his own,” according to the police department.
The police department made a Facebook post on May 27 at 9:05 a.m. requesting help from the public to locate Fisher. They said that he had left home in the afternoon of May 25 and was reportedly going fishing at Thomas Reservoir. The department said he was last seen at approximately 2:42 p.m. near WCR 7 and WCR 12 in Erie on May 25.
