BayCare Health System and UnitedHealthcare announced a new multi-year contract agreement on Thursday, May 29 — two days before the May 31 deadline that had been hanging over roughly 150,000 Florida patients for months. The deal keeps all 16 BayCare hospitals and their physicians in-network for UnitedHealthcare members across West Central Florida. Coverage continues without interruption. Patients can keep their appointments.
