Omaha Salvation Army’s Family Meals of Hope begins second year serving free summer dinners

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Salvation Army Omaha’s Family Meals of Hope moves into its second year and will begin serving meals tonight. The program starts this evening and runs through the end of July.

The program offers dinnertime meals to help families get through the summer when the kids are out of school, putting pressure on the refrigerator and the food budget.

Officials with the Salvation Army believe with the rising cost of food, the need will be greater this year…
