NEAR FAIR PLAY, Mo. (KY3) – A 25-year-old man from Willard drowned at Stockton Lake on Monday afternoon.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the man attempted to swim across the cove from Master’s Cove Swim Beach southwest of Fair Play. Witnesses on scene reported they no longer could see him.
Troopers located the man’s body by sonar and recovered it by drag operations approximately 73 feet from the shore. He was not wearing a life jacket…
