WILLARD, Mo. — The Willard area could see some new development in the near future, after the Greene County Commission approved a request to rezone 14.3 acres of land, located near North State Highway AB and West State Highway EE.
The applicant, Lee Engineering & Associates, initially requested 93.36 acres of land to be rezoned from an R-1 Suburban Residence District to a UR-1 Urban District, but the plan was later revised to a smaller portion. A large number of Willard residents are against the decision, with nearly 900 signatures on a petition to reject the rezoning plan.
