St. Louis police board eyes significant pay raises for command staff

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners is considering a $2.3 million proposal this week to significantly increase pay for the department’s command staff.

Police board officials say the move is essential to help retain experienced leaders and remain competitive with other departments amid ongoing staffing shortages.
