SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — With a brand new stadium name, the Springfield Cardinals have also added a brand new alternate identity.
To honor the American cultural phenomenon of snipe hunting, the Cards have decided to play as the Ozarks Snipe Hunters on select nights at Route 66 Stadium, starting with three straight games on June 11.
On Snipe Hunter nights, players will wear new themed jerseys as well as sell Snipe Hunter merchandise at the stadium shop.
