Family mourns Boeing mechanic who died after on-the-job fall

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – On April 26, Shandy Tate experienced every daughter’s worst fear. Her father, 53-year-old Daniel Lussier, was found dead on the living room floor.

Daniel was an aircraft mechanic at Boeing who fell while on the job. The injuries he suffered as a result of the accident led to his death days later, after being released from the hospital. His family said when they found him in the living room, they did chest compressions to try to keep him alive, unaware he had already died from a blood clot in his lungs.

Boeing sent 12 News a statement on Friday, saying they are making changes to their protocols as a result of Daniel’s death to increase safety across the board…
