AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — A Medina man is headed to prison after a large-scale drug manufacturing operation was discovered at his Akron home.
Andrew Meyers, of Medina, made drugs out of the Saxon Avenue home, intending to distribute them across Medina and Summit counties, according to a Tuesday, June 2, news release from the U.S. Department of Justice.

He pleaded guilty to several charges including drug trafficking, money laundering and firearm possession. A judge on Thursday, May 28, sentenced him to serve 10 years in prison, according to the release.
Federal agents serving a search warrant at the Akron residence in August 2024 found a drug laboratory with packaging and distributing tools; nearly 900 grams of MDMA, also called ecstasy; more than 350 grams of the anesthetic ketamine; and more than 2,900 grams of THC and delta-9 THC, which is the active compound in cannabis.
