LIMA TWP., MI — Riled up residents packed a township hall west of Ann Arbor Monday night over concern a natural gas-burning power plant could come to farmland there.
Lima Township residents demanded answers from Consumers Energy representatives at the tense special meeting. The township scheduled it after township Supervisor Bill VanRiper recently became aware of the utility’s option to purchase agricultural land. Word spread in the community and on social media.
