CRC puts first carbon dioxide underground in Carbon TerraVault

California Resources Corporation made history on May 26 when it injected the first carbon dioxide into Carbon TerraVault I, the carbon capture and storage project at Elk Hills.

The facility is designed to trap and store carbon dioxide that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere.
