PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Cape Verde is getting ready to play in the World Cup for the first time ever this summer.

As a nod to Rhode Island’s large Cape Verdean population, a send-off celebration is being held at Centreville Bank Stadium on Sunday.
