EAST END, Ark. — A Saline County home has been described as a “total loss” after a lightning strike caused a house fire on Monday night.
The East End Fire Department responded to a home on Kaysen Lane shortly before 9:00 p.m. on June 1, where they battled a blaze that started in the home’s attic.
“We were hindered greatly from a severe thunderstorm that was taking place at the time,” East End Fire Chief Darrel Feagan said. “Visibility outside was extremely poor due to the extremely hard rain, and then the lightning itself.”…
