Residents of St. Bernard Parish will soon have a Rouses Markets closer to home.
The Louisiana-based grocery chain announced Tuesday that it plans to open its first St. Bernard Parish location in Chalmette, bringing a new full-service supermarket to a shopping center along West Judge Perez Drive.
