LOVES PARK, Ill. (WIFR) – Stacy Riley, her family and their dog Greta enjoy regular walks at Rock Cut State Park, or at least they did.
“We were in shock, it was gross,” said Riley, describing their last stroll at the park.
It’s been weeks since the family’s last visit to Rock Cut. After about 20 minutes during their walk, they say they found themselves covered in ticks — some latched onto their skin.
“I looked down and I saw three ticks on the back of my husband’s leg. Then I noticed that I had a couple on my arm, so I picked them off. The rest of us started checking to see if we had ticks and we saw ticks on us, so then we rushed to the car and we found more ticks,” Riley explained…
