ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A puppy who carries the warmth and love of a father – that’s Papa.
In this week’s Adopt 815, we introduce you to this 3-year-old Chinese shar-pei/pit bull mix for adoption at Winnebago County Animal Services.
It’s been a tough start for Papa at the shelter. He arrived as a stray in January 2024, and he was soon adopted by a family.
But that didn’t work out. Staff says he didn’t do anything wrong—he simply found himself in a bad situation and they felt it was best to return to the shelter.
Papa is described as the perfect balance between puppy energy and a grown-dog’s calm. He loves to play and go for walks, but he’s also content spending the afternoon curled up for a TV binge…
