WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Two Mexican nationals are under federal indictment, accused of trafficking cocaine in Kansas.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday that a federal grand jury returned indictments against Victor Alfonso Martinez-Hernandez, 36, and Cesar Alejandro Madrid-Candelas, 19, both of Juarez, Mexico. They are each charged with one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

On May 20, the two men stopped on the side of the road in Wichita to check a tire on the trailer their van was pulling, according to an affidavit filed in federal court. Wichita Police Department officers had been following them after they failed to use a turn signal, the affidavit says.
